How InstruSelect Works
InstruSelect is a vendor-agnostic flow meter selection platform that helps engineers compare options across manufacturers based on published specs. It shortlists suitable flow meter technologies and models from your process conditions, shows the reasoning behind each match, and hands you a defensible shortlist to confirm with a supplier. It is used before manufacturer sizing — it does not replace manufacturer sizing or final project approval.

Enter your process conditions
You provide the parameters that govern meter selection: fluid type and phase, flow range (minimum and maximum), pipe size, process temperature and pressure, required accuracy, and where relevant conductivity, viscosity, density, solids content and entrained gas. These are the same inputs an engineer would gather before opening any manufacturer datasheet.

Conditions are checked against engineering rules
InstruSelect screens your inputs against established flow measurement principles — fluid compatibility, flow range and turndown limits, accuracy class, material compatibility, hazardous-area and installation constraints — and against published manufacturer specifications. Technologies and models that cannot physically meet your conditions are ruled out.

Suitable technologies and models are recommended
The remaining candidates are scored on how well their published specifications fit your conditions and returned as a ranked shortlist across manufacturers. Coriolis, electromagnetic, vortex and ultrasonic options are compared side by side rather than within a single brand.

You review the reasoning and limitations
Each recommendation shows the engineering reasoning behind it and any caveats — for example turndown limits, pressure-loss trade-offs, or pipe-run requirements. You stay in control of the judgement; InstruSelect makes the trade-offs visible rather than hiding them behind a single answer.

Final selection is confirmed with a supplier or manufacturer
You take the shortlist to the manufacturer’s own sizing tool, the latest datasheet, and a supplier or manufacturer review to confirm the final selection. InstruSelect is the step before manufacturer sizing — it gets you to a defensible shortlist quickly; it does not replace final validation or project approval.
